Who Are We?
Founded in September 2000, the Chicago Engineering Design Team is a student organization from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Each year the team enrolls in college-level competitions, which require a diverse set of engineering backgrounds including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science.
Objective
The primary focus of the organization is to implement skills and knowledge acquired in the classroom into mobile robotics and engineering projects.
Community Service
Our organization collaborates with high schools in Chicago to show students the benefits of STEM related careers and pursuing higher education.
Acomplishments
With over 50 consistent members, EDT has made its mark in the NASA's RMC and MRDC by placing against various schools and teams accoss the nation.
Skills Learned
Our members gain skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication, organization, programming, electrical, machining, milling, modelling, and 3D Printing.
